This month’s Staff Spotlight features Jennifer Watson, licensed vocational nurse at The Arbors.

Jennifer has been with the Arbors for over a year. She helps as a licensed nurse, administering pain medication, assessing patients, running treatments, guiding certified nursing assistants, helping as a hostess in the dining room, and more.

She’s organized, resourceful, and believes there’s always room for improvement and education. With over ten years of experience in the medical profession, Jennifer specializes in helping long-term care patients.

“I’ve always worked with long-term care patients, and I love them,” Jennifer says. “I love helping people.”

Her love and compassion for serving others led her to the Arbors. She originally worked as a part-time nurse but now works full-time.

“I chose the Arbors because it felt like home,” Jennifer says. “The management team runs a tight ship! I enjoy my co-workers, my work, and especially the patients.”

Jennifer’s favorite part about her job is hearing patients remember her and call on her for things they need.

“I like to get on a personal level with my patients so they can feel at home and relaxed when they are here.”

When she isn’t working, Jennifer helps take care of her family. She’s also very involved in her church and teaches 3 year olds in Sunday School. She enjoys shopping, scrapbooking, crafting, and, of course, having fun with her kids and husband.
