At The Arbors, we love our staff! We wouldn’t be where we are today without the compassion and hard work of our nurses, caretakers and staff members. So, each month, we’re going to highlight one of our incredible employees.
This month, we’re going to talk about Angela Kemp.
For seven years, Angela Kemp has served as the assistant director of nursing at the Arbors. She helps assess, evaluate and manage the nursing team, using her experience in the medical field and critical thinking skills to provide residents with the best care possible.
But Angela has been in nursing since she was 16. She loves nursing because she has a passion for helping people. She chose the Arbors because she liked its clean, welcoming facilities. Today, she’s grown to love how close she is with her coworkers.
“We’re a family,” Angela says.
Since she started with the Arbors, Angela has impacted many lives through her work. Her favorite part of her job is helping residents get better. When she isn’t working, she’s usually reading or spending time with her non-work family.
“Family is the most important thing to me,” Angela says.
Angela is a member of the Associations for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). In addition to being assistant director of nursing, she is also a registered nurse and certified wound nurse. Her experience in medicine has made her a fast learner and a team player.
“I do think there is always room for improvement,” Angela says.
